“Join the Song” Coming VERY Soon!

Hang in there everyone! We are just a couple weeks away from having the album in hand… Thanks for being patient! We think it will be worth the wait!

What’s Been Happening

So… we haven’t actually dropped off the face of the earth… it just may seem like it!  In fact, we will be opening for Building 429 in just nine more days (July 2nd @ Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Greenville, TX) so we’d love to see you there!

We are currently very busy recording songs for our first album (I say “first” because we are writing and performing way more songs than we could possibly fit onto one album… I guess that’s a good thing) and while it is slow-going, it is also turning out well at this point.  Hopefully we will have some more music posted here in the near future.  For those of you that have heard us live, you will probably recognize these songs, but here are some of the ones that will probably (99% sure) make it to the album:

Arise, Shine

Come Inside

Join the Song (Your Redeemed)

Faith My Way

I Stand Amazed

We have also gotten some new t-shirts that will be making their debut on July 2nd as well… pretty fun stuff.  I am excited about what God is doing in the band and in our respective churches and also about the ministry platform that He is giving us within our community.  To Him be all glory and honor!

We Have Seen Your Glory

So… many of you have been anxiously awaiting an opportunity to take a listen to our music.  The day has finally arrived… BUT… it is still a rough mix.  I just didn’t want to leave you guys hanging for TOO much longer.  So, click on the music link and take a listen to the song, “We Have Seen Your Glory.”  Info and a devotional on the song will be coming as well as chord charts and lead sheets in lots of different keys… so stay tuned!

Rosewood Studios (Day One)

What a day!  We had a blast hanging out together and worshipping God through music… more on all of this later… in the meantime, check out photos from the session!

Let the fun begin!

So… we kick off our recording sessions tomorrow at Rosewood Studios in Tyler.  Stay tuned for pics and videos from the day.  Here we go, folks!

Merry Christmas!

We would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas!  We, as a band, are looking forward to 2009 and what God has in store for each of us.  We will begin the recording process at Rosewood Studios in Tyler on January 17th and we look forward to bringing you lots of pictures, videos, and music in the future.  We ask that you would continue to pray that God would use us in a mighty way for His glory!

Visit With The Studio

Man, it’s beautiful down there in Tyler!

We had too many people to fit in one Honda Odessey, so we caravaned with the maroon whatchamacallit. I felt a little outnumbered, but the three girls in the Odessey proved to make the hour-and-a-half ride more entertaining than a cheerleader blooper video! We discovered new interjections such as “Ole!” and “Great NURSE!” – both of which could be used if being chased by a buffalo. Trust me.

We had a great visit with the studio. Gary was a very nice guy who knows his stuff. After hearing some sweet new tunes and having prayer time, we went to lunch.

Actually, “El Quatro” is not a difficult place to find if you the right direction and you don’t spell it “Le Cuatro” on your iPhone – Jenn! :) They have the BEST hot sauce! Now, I say that about almost EVERY tex-mex restaurant I visit… but they have the BEST hot sauce! It is unique in it’s tomato-lime hotness. The fish tacos were pretty good too (ugh, no supper for me).

Sorry. I slept on the way home. I have no idea what (if any) new interjections they came up with. ;)

Greenville Christian School

We played at the Greenville Christian School chapel this morning and had a good time getting to know the kids and worshiping together.  We leave Saturday morning to visit Rosewood Studios in Tyler and determine if it is the right fit for us for recording.
